We use this database to notify users of security fixes, product upgrades, new product announcements, and other news related to Xandros products. If you contact Xandros through e-mail your message may be retained for some period of time for our own record keeping purposes. Your name will not be added to a mailing list unless you explicitly request that be done so. You will not receive any additional or unsolicited e-mail except as is necessary to respond to your message.
Xandros Desktop OS provides the ability to update your operating system and associated software easily over the Web. In order to determine whether updates to your installed software are available, the Xandros Networks application which runs on your system, retrieves information on the latest versions of software from the Web. It uses the information retrieved from the Web to determine if newer versions of installed applications are available. Any evaluation of the software installed on your system happens on your computer and no information about the software on your system, or the configuration of your hardware, is sent to Xandros or to anyone else.
The Xandros Web site may contain links to other organizations’ and other company’s Web sites. These sites may have similar privacy policies to Xandros but we encourage you to verify that their policies reflect your personal values. Xandros can not vouch for the privacy policies of linked sites.
The Xandros privacy statement was published on November 20, 2001. If any change is made to this policy, we will post a notice on the home page of our site 1 month prior to the change.
