Xandros Launches Beta Program

Enlists the help of Linux users to finalize Xandros Desktop 1.0

New York, January 31, 2002 – Xandros, a leading developer of a cost effective, installation-friendly, complete Linux-based operating environment, announced today the launch of its first Beta Program designed to finalize the stability and usability of Xandros Desktop 1.0. The program is being conducted in an effort to garner insight from potential users and aid the Xandros product development team in finalizing the product for distribution. The full release of Xandros Desktop 1.0 is slated for May 2002.

Linux users interested in participating in the Beta Test Program should visit the Xandros Web site at www.xandros.com/beta. Potential users will be asked to answer a short questionnaire about their level of Linux experience, system resources, and geographic location. Xandros will select a diverse group of approximately 200 users from the completed questionnaires.
