We have just migrated a network from Win SBS to an Xandros server with Scalix. Installation went reasonably well except for Scalix problems as below, although I would not recommend using the migration tool as it brings in a lot of unnecessary settings from the SBS server. Since importing the Exchange server files there have been a couple of issues: The operators use multiple shared calendars at each workstation. Calendars are slow to load, deletions of an appointment take a couple of attempts as does changing the label color, which is frustrating in a very busy office environment as they identify appointment status by changing the color of the label. We are using outlook 2003. Anybody have a fix fior this?? A major issue we did have was that importing the calendars by exporting as a .pst file from SBS server caused loss of data on recurring appointments. This caused a lot of problems as data had to be manually re-entered.

peter,

along with this forum you might find some answers if you visit the scalix forum.*******Keep in mind All Scalix procedures don’t work as described with Xandros******* that is because of the customization, and don’t tell them you’re running Xandros (OEM) as they’ll send you packing becuase Xandros is to support thier own configuration. But I’ve learned alot about Scalix that way and you might find the answers aren’t Xandros related but client related. Good luck and post back your findings.

This morning I have received an emails from my friend, who lives in Norway. But I couldn’t reply him, because something must have happened. It turned out my computer was attacked an unknown virus. For luck I used the Internet and discovered there an unusual software – corrupt outlook pst file. I downloaded it and tried to use. The program was astonished me,reason of it determined my trouble completely quickly and without money as far as I remembered. Moreover I have been using it for a week and I’m absolutely glad.
