Pre-Sales Engineer
This unique SW company is expanding globally with multiple enterprise software products. One major area of focus is their email/messaging platform and related tools.
You will be involved in Pre and possibly some Post Sales product implementation activities, promoting the products and the company as if a product evangelist.
Day to day activity in the pre-sales roles would include:
• Provide subject matter expertise in a pre-sales capacity for prospects, partners and strategic business alliances on all Xandros products and their associated eco-system integration.
• Responding to detail RFI/RFPs
• Participating in sales calls with sales representative and meeting with prospects
• Preparing and giving product demonstrations
• Preparing and giving technology and product architecture presentations
• Delivery of on-gong feedback to product development/management based on prospect or customer interaction, product issues, field deployments and generally observed market trends.
• Responding to prospect and discussing product enhancements.
• Continuous improvement and refinement of pre-sales processes and best practice strategies.
• Oversee customer implementations, and integration. Become main point of contact for clients technical issues.
EMEA (Europe Middle East & Africa) focus, medium to large enterprise clients.
Will require travel.
Required Skills:
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self starter and go getter.
• Minimum 4 years previous experience in prospect/customer-facing roles involving professional services and/or pre-sales.
• Linux expertise (preferably Red Hat and/or Xandros, SuSE, Debian) and/or Windows or Unix
• Expertise with internet standards-based messaging (IMAP/POP/SMTP/LDAP)
• Experience with Scalix and/or Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novel GroupWise
• Experience with multiple email clients (Outlook, Mozilla, Thunderbird) and browsers
(IE, Firefox)
• Expertise with Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam solutions knowledge and perimeter MTAs (sendmail)
• Directories knowledge (OpenLDAP, Active Directory)
• Some Programming skills (Perl, Linux shell-scipting, javascript, Python)

Fluent in German & English any additional language is a bonus
Other Qualifications:
• This is a very aggressive start up with some world class partnerships in place.
• They are looking for flexible and motivated people to join the team. Willing to travel.
